Why agents need a company map

Most failed agent projects do not fail because the model cannot reason. They fail because the model is dropped into a company without the map humans quietly carry around.

The account hierarchy. The renewal risk. The person who actually decides. The promise made on the last call. The rule nobody wrote down. The exception everyone knows about but no system represents.

Humans learn that map by being around the work. They listen to calls, watch handoffs, notice which fields matter, and remember where the process bends. An agent does not get that for free.

If you want the agent to operate, the company has to become legible to it. Not as a generic knowledge base. As the specific working map of the workflow it is meant to touch.

That map is where the useful work starts.
